The Journey Continues...

Here we are with about six months to the big day. I worked really hard to surprise Cierra and bring her maid of honor Stacey to town to do wedding stuff. Needless to say Cierra knows me better than anyone and had a suspicion that something was up. Stacey's trip was just what we needed! We got a lot accomplished. We were able to do some cake tasting- which was delicious! We found the most beautiful wedding cake. We have a three tiered cake with ribbon trim and hand painted peacock feathers on it. Cierra was a bit unsure about the flavors but I can say we were pleasantly surprised with the pink champagne flavor!
After cake tasting we got Cierra fitted for her suit and found bridesmaid dresses. It was great to get every ones input and finally start to see what the big day will actually look like! We finally got around to gathering addresses and preparing to send out the save the dates. Even though we are already married it is very exciting thinking about committing ourselves to each other in front of our friends and family.
Next we need to finalize our invitations, meet with the caterer and pick out flowers. Knock on wood but I have to say this wedding planning process has been much easier than I had imagined.
